Wild Side Takes Two from Thailand's GMM Tai Hub

Thai production house GMM Tai Hub ( GTH ), which attended AFM for the first time this year, has pre-sold Alone and Dorm to France's Wild Side Films during the market.

Alone , unveiled at Pusan last month, is a $2.5 million follow-up by directors Parkpoom Wongpoom and Banjong Pisanthanakun to their Asian box office sensation Shutter . The horror is expected to start shooting next March with a Korean actress in a leading role.

Suspense thriller Dorm about boarding school life, directed by Songyos Sugmakanan ( My Girl ), is currently in post-production for a February 2006 release in Thailand.

Meanwhile, GTH 's Dear Dakanda has become the fourth biggest local film this year, grossing 80 million baht in Bangkok after eight weeks of release. The romantic comedy is directed by another My Girl director, Komkrit Treewimol.

This year's top three Thai titles are Sahamongkolfilm's actioner Tom Yum Goong and comedy Yam Yasothorn , and Pranakorn Film's comedy Luang Pee Teng .
